After an initial collaboration, Maison Rémy Garnier asked architect and designer Paule Soubeyrand to imagine a new collection.

To create this line, the T-Ress collection, Paule Soubeyrand wanted to bring together and magnify two timeless expressions, the ancestral motif of leather weaving and bronze, a universal material, associated with casting and molding, for a unique result every time.

The braid is one of the earliest human motifs, and its multiple over-and-under structures have often been explored at different scales by Paule Soubeyrand in her textile creations and experiments. Based on the gentle geometry of a leather braid developed with a leading French sheath-maker, she wanted to play on the finesse of details, reliefs and braided leather strands, and the roundness and power of bronze.

"Rémy Garnier's unique know-how has enabled us to master the rendering of the transposed imprint of the leather braid on the bronze material, optimize ergonomics, obtain softness and comfort in the hand, and preserve the technical value of the historic Door Lever Rémy Garnier," explains Paule Soubeyrand.

The T-Ress collection enters the space with power and refinement, in uncompromising dialogue with the surrounding materials: concrete, wood, ... This collection, in which reliefs, contrasts and textures are highlighted, bears witness to Paule Soubeyrand's admiration for a great bronzemaker.

Paule Soubeyrand and Rémy-Garnier continue their collaboration with a collection of T-Ress lamps and lighting fixtures.
